Thursday's WITL

It definitely happens that some days are packed full of photos and others are seriously lacking. This week was a little hard to stay focused, mostly because of all the running we had to do to get registered for school. Here is a look at our Thursday.

Starting the morning off right with a vintage cartoon, the Smurfs! I love this cartoon.

Also starting the morning with some bug catching. Thankfully we have Madasyn here during the day to keep us safe from the scary bugs. Today she is catching a cricket to take back outside.

It is about 9 in the morning and already this hot.? YIKES!

The Georgetown hospital. My home for our first week here. Jack & I went in today and found our my stay, without insurance, would be paid for in full. I am so grateful that I can't even put it into words.

Finally was able to register Jack & Hunter for school. Now just to get them both physicals, eye exams, and dental exams.

Lunch!

And a nap!

Hunter wanting a piggy back ride from his brother who weighs about 12 pounds more than him. Probably not going to work out buddy.

Sunny D with lunch. Jack & I ate a little later, thanks to the errands we ran.

Adorable!

Brothers playing together, until Finn gets really irritated that Hunter has taken his toy.

Again with the hands...this picture really makes me think about possibilities. The possiblity that he could play music with these hands, be a surgeon with these hands, be an athlete with these hands, hold his own child with these hands...the possibilities are endless really.

Dinner prep. We had the Easy Chicken Bake from the back of the Stove Top box, I have to double the recipe, and green beans. I still cannot believe how much food we consume here.

Family dinner. We really try to do this every single night unless there is an activity that is early. I am grateful to be able to have these dinners again. When John was working in the dealership we rarely, if ever ate dinner as a family

Took the oldest 3 to a sale at a local consignment store in Georgetown. As we pulled into town there was also a band playing. This small town atmosphere is actually really cool!

Bengals training camp is about 5 minutes from our house. This is obviously a big deal for the city? John is really looking forward to getting a car full of friends and some of our children to go and watch a session and maybe get some autographs :)

Had some of my hair cut off! I am thinking I still need more of the bulk taken out. It is so hot here all the time that there is just nopoint in me having long hair because all I do is put it in a pony tail.

Mr. Finn and I ended up having a pretty late night. He is finally cutting some molars and has been really sad about it. He cried for awhile so I just sat snuggling him as best I could until he finally wanted to lay down. Needless

Wednesday's WITL

Maybe some thoughts on what I learned today. I really tried to think a little differently for each day.

I learned that no matter how hard I try I cannot organize or stay on task *throws arms in the air.*

I learned that Hunter is still obsessed with the color orange.

I learned that Madasyn is super excited about starting school this year!

This is just the beginning of Finn learning how to be a good Daddy for the future ;)

That I love the Main Street in Georgetown! The buildings are gorgeous!

My baby is getting bigger and can get on and off the couch alone (he has been doing this for a bit, but is getting braver.)

I still love make up!

Karen, if you read this, this photo is for you! I learned that I just can't help but take a photo in the mirror hehe!

The stop lights here are loooonngg and the drivers pull away ssllloooow!

If Hunter can get the girls to play, he love pretending.

I learned that he is super nervous about the bike, but is still willing to at least try.

Laundry is easier to do when it is in the hallway :)

I will never finish the few boxes that my Mom left :(

This face will always make my day better!

Jack will always be a "my" boy and love any alone time he can get with me.

There is a restaurant here called Cheddars, that is really good and super inexpensive.

Driving around, literally in a circle, is confusing!

Escaping the house for a couple hours is a must!

Seeing Hunter sleeping at a decent hour warms my heart!

Tuesday's WITL

Some of my thoughts on Tuesday:

I am grateful for the comfort of my bed!

Gas, while still expensive, is a little bit cheaper down here and I am finding that I am using a lot less.

I am grateful for my own transportation and that I can be a "Mom Taxi."

I still can't believe how rural of an area we are in...

I am so grateful for the breeze of a ceiling fan.

Watching the boys thinking and playing together is really nice!

I am so grateful to be doing Project Life

We just can't seem to get too far away from the video games. But I love his pudgy, little hands!

I am grateful for siblings! I always wanted some of my own and I am so happy for our children. I hope they will continue to grow and nurture their relationship with each other always.

Madasyn's spirit and her ability to just walk into a group of children she doesn't know astounds me. She left the 4 hour camp her first day with 4 new friends.

Grateful that they understand each other enough to be able to play together. It isn't always peaceful, but I'll take it.

Honey red wine vinaigrette! We had ranch chicken and a candied walnut salad with this dressing. The recipe should say feta cheese in the salad, that is how my sweet friend, Erin, made it for my family. Delicious!

Grateful for boxed cake mixes :) I made dinner from scratch, at least ;)

Dinner with the Missionaries!! I am so grateful for them and their sacrifices and teachings. These are really sweet young men.

I am grateful for the help in the kitchen.

Grateful for the study guides given to me by my dear friend Kasey. These will be used and loved!

Grateful for all of Ryleigh's help at all times. She is an amazing young woman.

Grateful for my Maddi and her willingness to help with the chores no one wants to do. She is also becoming an amazing yound woman!
